We've dubbed this stony character "Grog". He's made with a douglas fir hack, styrofoam and some clay dough stuff. With the douglas fir hack, we can have him say or sing whatever sound track he is hooked up to. In 2003 for our Pirate Haunt, we had him saying common Pirate sayings from Treasure Island. *NOTE* I'm going to get better pictures of this sometime this year (I hope). And maybe add a how-to.
