Ghost Captain

I've always like the scene on the POTC ride with the skeleton captain at the helm of a wrecked ship. In our 2003 haunt we did a prop like this, but this year we're working on improving it and animating it. Here's our progress so far, as well as a "pre-production" video.

Since I didn't have a use for the Meaner Neener prop, and it already does the turning mechanism we need, we just used it for our wheel.

We found a chandelier that looked sort of like a wheel at a yard sale. We attached it to a T PVC joint on the front of my meaner mechanism.

We used PVC to extend the 'spokes' of the wheel, so the captain would have something to hold on to.
