We made this cannon specifically for our Pirate Haunt in 2003. It has a red light in the barrel, and shoots smoke rings. Along with some cannon sounds from Pirates of the Carribbean soundtrack, it makes for a very cool prop! We found instructions online for making it. I'll have to post a link, if I can remember where it was. For the barrel we used a cardboard tube used for cement. If we use the cannon 2004, I'll put more pictures up.

If you look close, near the end of the video, we get a pretty good smoke ring.


Here you can see the wooden fram we used to support the barrel, and the styrofoam used to hide the frame.


The stand next to the barrel. On the picture on the right, you can see where we inserted the red light in the bottom. Also at the end of the barrel, is an "air-zooka" that blows smoke from our fog machine, to make the smoke rings.

We had a surprise snow storm on Halloween 2003. So we made the most of it. Made some cannonballs out of snow, and a firing range victim.
