Pine Creek is one of the classics in Zion's. It's a popular one, particularly for beginners. In part because it has such a short approach, and wonderful rappels. I don't have any recent pics of Pine Creek, but here's some of our second descent.
Since the ladies didn't have wetsuits, we had them rappell onto my shoulders and I would carry them across the numerous water sections.
A picture from Beanie's scrap book, showing the mule at work. One section I swam with the ladies on my back through the water.
Another page from Beanies scrap book of "new bob" wading in the top pic, and be with Becky on my shoulders on the bottom pic.
More wading in Pine Creek.
One of the most dramatic of the rappels is the Cathedral, where we rap down near double arches. Very cool!!
The second to last rappel.
Neil coming down the same rappel.
Neil landing on New Bob's head on the final rappel into the grotto.
